About Banbury Cross Health Centre
Banbury Cross Health Centre is a new practice in Banbury, established in September 2019. We have two locations: South Bar House and Bridge Street.
Banbury Cross Health Centre has been launched following the merger of West Bar Surgery and Banbury Health Centre – a move which will enable a greater range of patient services and more opportunities for expansion, while at the same time improving efficiency by consolidating back office and support functions. The new practice will operate from the existing sites and existing staff will be retained, so for most patients, little will change.
We are proud to be a training practice, helping qualified doctors, known as Registrars, complete the final stages of their GP training.
Most of the practices which merged to form Banbury Cross Health Centre have been involved in supporting primary care research for several years. At BCHC, we believe it is important to participate in research projects so that we can help to develop new and more effective ways of diagnosing and treating diseases. We are pleased to give our patients the opportunity to take part in these studies, many of which involve tests and treatments which we would not otherwise be able to offer. Therefore the practice is actively involved in numerous national studies which are organised by study teams at universities, charities and other research institutions. Find out more here:-
