PPG Minutes of 20th March 2025 Meeting

Matters Arising
- No Matters Arising from February minutes
Staffing
- Dr Neil Fisher (Director) Oversees primary care, looking at the needs of different groups of Patients. He is very good with the team, and focus is on improving our practice.
- Some HCAs have left to other practices
- Locums work some sessions, they are mainly used for enhanced hours.
Complaints, Compliments and Feed
- 32 complaints in February, these were mainly due to delayed appointments.
- 94% positive for compliments on NHS website.
- Friends and Family 88.3% feedback
Military Veteran friendly Practice
- The Practice are sending messages to all over patients over 18, to check if they are a Veterans of the Armed Forces, it is an ongoing programme of work.
- There are over a 100 Veterans on the list already.
- There is a chance to tick a box on the form at registration if they are a military veteran too.
- Information will be updated on the Website.
- Armed Forces Day is on the 28th June 2025 and there will be something planned either side of this date to support this.
Did not attend (DNA) letter
- The letter was discussed and some amendments to be made.
- Looking at multiple missed appointments in a 3 or 6 month window.
- The nurses try to ring patients to say they have missed their appointments and offer to rebook especially for child imms and smears.
- The Practice will look at the age range of patients failing to attend.
AOB
1. Patient Survey – age option to be added and to be sent to Hannah in publisher as now needs moving forward.
- There is not a yearly Health check it is every 5 years up to age 74. Patients with long term conditions are being contacted, they have annual reviews.
2. Kevin is happy to meet members of Committee for a chat.
