Child Flu Vaccinations

BACK TO MAIN INDEX

We are continually offering childrens flu vaccinations (nasal spray) here at BCHC.

Please note we can ONLY vaccinate at the surgery:

  • Children aged 2 or 3 years – born between 1 September 2017 and 31 August 2019 at the surgery.
  • Children outside this age group up to age of 18 years with “long term health condition” or are in an “at-risk group”.

A very small number of children may need an injection rather than via nasal spray.

If your child is attending school and not any of the above, please contact your school nurse for more information.

You can book your childs flu vaccine via Patient Access or NHS app. Please note, your child needs to be setup on either of these for it to be possible to book online.  We have also been actively contacting parents to get their child booked in, whenever we have the resources to do so. Alternatively, you can telephone the practice to get your child booked in.

You can read up about child flu vaccines, including examples of long-term health conditions, how the nasal spray is administered and side effects via the NHS website.
