New COVID-19 and Flu Vaccinations
COVID-19 Vaccination Eligibility
- Individuals aged 75 years and over, (including those due to turn 75 years on or before 31 January 2026)
- Residents in a care home for older adults (as defined through CQC registration), irrespective of the individual’s age
- Persons aged 6 months and over who are immunosuppressed, as defined in tables 3 and 4 of the Covid-19 Chapter of the Green Book.
Flu Vaccination Eligibility
From 1 September 2025:
- Pregnant women
- All children aged 2 or 3 years on 31 August 2025
- Children in clinical risk groups aged from 6 months to less than 18 years
- Following a clinical assessment, a small number of other adults may be eligible from early vaccination, e.g. for those due to commence immunosuppressive treatment, (such as chemotherapy).
From 1st October 2025:
- Those aged 65 years and over, (including those due to turn 65 of years on or before 31 March 2026)
- Those aged 18 years to under 65 years in clinical risk groups (as defined by the Influenza chapter of the Green Book)
- Those in long-stay residential care homes, carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the main carer of an elderly or disabled person
- Household contacts of immunocompromised individuals
- Frontline workers in a social care setting without an employer led occupational health scheme including those working for a registered residential care or nursing home, registered domiciliary care providers, voluntary managed hospice providers and those who are employed by individuals who receive direct payments (personal budgets) or Personal Health budgets, such as Personal Assistants.
What about housebound patients who need an Autumn booster?
Housebound patients will be contacted to book their appointment.
Which vaccine is it?
Currently the vaccine we have Comirnaty KP.2 (Pfizer) vaccine for 12 years and over.
How to make an appointment for covid and or Flu vaccinations
Invites will be sent to all eligible patients via text message, email, or post. Please do not contact us until you have received an invitation.
If you are unable to follow the booking link to arrange an appointment, please call 01295 759110, you will be asked to leave a voicemail with your name, date of birth and a contact number. We will contact you back within 7 days.
