We are participating in an important study to assess the accuracy of different rapid tests for COVID-19 for patients in the community called RAPTOR-C19.
All household members including children are able to take part and you will get your standard nose/mouth COVID-19 swab as part of the study so you wouldn’t have to go to a testing centre. The study usually involves having extra swabs and a blood test done.
We are currently running this study on Monday-Thursday every week. You are eligible to take part if you have any of the standard COVID symptoms (fever, new persistent cough, change of taste/smell) but also if you have new shortness of breath, muscle aches, sore throat, nasal congestion or you’ve been in close contact with a person with confirmed COVID.
If you think you need testing for COVID-19 and are willing to take part, please contact our reception team (01295 256 261) who will arrange for a member of our research team to call you back.
