Good Afternoon, happy Monday! We hope you are all well. It’s quite a relief for us to have mild temperatures in February, especially after last week being so frosty.
We had a very busy weekend with COVID vaccinations and we have another vaccine delivery this week. This means that we will need to dedicate staff to making appointments and lots of outgoing phone calls.
Today is a big day for us, as we have our newly trained contact centre staff answering calls for the first time. It is going to take a bit of time for them to settle in, and Monday is always our busiest day, so please don’t phone us to book your Covid-19 vaccine. We will contact you.
We are delighted that so many patients are contacting us online. If you don’t already have access, we highly recommend you check out Patient Access, eConsult, which you can access via our website www.banburycrosshealthcentre.co.uk/.
We have completed nearly everyone in Cohort 4 now, so if you are 70 and haven't been vaccinated, please let us know.
Patients in Cohort 5, which is those 65 year old and over, will be invited by Oxfordshire CCG to mass vaccination centres.
At Banbury Cross Health Centre, we are moving onto vaccinating patients in cohort 6, which is adults aged 18-65 in an at risk group.
As we work down the cohorts the number of patients in the lower groups gets significantly bigger, so it will take some time to get through everyone.
The forecast for the end of the week is 13C, so enjoy, have a great week, and keep safe.
